My name is Mimi McCraney, and here is a little bit about my journey as an artist. Originally from Jackson, Mississippi, I’m graduated from the University of Mississippi with my bachelors of Arts. Art has always been a passion of mine, but it was 7 years ago, during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, that I truly began to focus on my creativity and officially started my business. What began as painting dorm room art for friends quickly expanded through social media, and Made By Mimi grew faster than I ever anticipated.

In college, I found every opportunity to paint, design, and explore. From sorority banners to class projects, I dove into a range of mediums—painting, ceramics, 3D design, photography, printmaking, and graphic design—constantly pushing myself outside my comfort zone.

While I’ve experimented with many forms, painting has always been at the heart of what I love to do.

In 2025, I’m focusing on expanding my creative practice—working more with textiles, prints, and new subject matter. I’m excited to keep evolving and growing my business.
